  • Curry Chicken Salad Wrap   Our homemade curry chicken salad with apples and toasted almonds, served with lettuce and tomato. It’s a fresh approach to an American standard – chicken salad.   $9.95

  • The Cuban   Thinly-sliced smoked pork, ham, salami, mustard blend, Swiss cheese, and pickle chips hot pressed on Cuban bread. Invented in Key West for Cuban workers, we stole the recipe for our St. Augustine friends. It’s our most popular sandwich!   $10.95 
  • Philly Cheesesteak   Thinly-sliced tender beef with peppers, onions, mushrooms, and provolone cheese on a hoagie roll. It made Philly famous and Jaybird’s too.  $10.95
  • Fish Sandwich   Take our catch-of-the-day and have it your way:  grilled, blackened, or fried, with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a pretzel bun with a side of tartar sauce. Don’t let this one get away!  Market price
  • Reuben   Corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand islands dressing on toasted marbled rye. Historians can’t agree on who invented the sandwich, but our customers agree it is a winner.   $10.95
  • Grilled Chicken Sandwich   We took the ordinary and made it extraordinary! It’s our new grilled chicken breast sandwich. We marinate it in our special recipe, cover it with pepper jack cheese, and serve it with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a beautiful and tasty pretzel bun. It’s so beautiful, be sure to take a picture before you destroy this work of art.   $9.95

  • Half-pound Burger   It begins with a half-pound of fresh hamburger patty cooked to your satisfaction and served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on our beautiful and tasty pretzel bun. Can America’s classic burger be improved? Yes, we found a way to make it exceptional.   $9.95  

Add your choice of American, Cheddar, Swiss, Provolone, Smoke Gouda, Feta, Mozzarella, or Goat Cheese for an extra $1.00 and instantly you have a savory Cheeseburger

  • Naked Jaybird   It’s our half pound of fresh hamburger patty cooked to your satisfaction and served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. We add slices of avocado to add texture and taste. Our secret to this low-cal, gluten free burger: no buns.   $9.95
  • Patty Melt   Half pound fresh hamburger patty served with grilled onions and Swiss cheese pressed on marbled rye bread. Invented in Southern California in the 1950s, we found the original recipe floating in a coke bottle off Catalina Island.   $11.95

  • Crispy Chicken Summer Salad   Fresh mixed greens topped with strawberries, fresh oranges, candied pecans, and crispy chicken tossed in honey mustard dressing. So why did our chef call it a summer salad when it’s just as popular throughout the year? It’s a mystery to us.  $11.95 
  • Cobb Salad   Fresh mixed greens, grilled chicken breast, avocado, crispy bacon, hardboiled eggs, and sliced mushrooms served with your choice of dressing. Created by Robert Cobb at his Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant in 1937, we simply improved on it, but only a little.  $11.95
  • Chef Salad   Fresh mixed greens topped with ham, turkey, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and hardboiled eggs. This salad has been around since 1936, but not to worry, yours will be freshly made today.   $11.95
  • Walnut Salad   Fresh mixed greens tossed with our citrus vinaigrette dressing with walnuts, cranberries, raisins, apples, celery, and finished with feta cheese. You’ll go nuts over this one.    $9.95
  • House Salad   Fresh mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, and carrots with your choice of dressing. A larger portion than our side salad, but less than our specialty salads.   $4.95
  • Caesar Salad   Romaine lettuce and homemade croutons tossed in our special Caesar dressing. It’s okay to swagger a bit when ordering this upscale tasty salad.    $5.95 


  • Jay's Famous Pork Green Chili   We begin with fresh pork roast, then braised with Jay’s famous blend of assorted seasonings.   • Florida “cracker” Soup  It’s a special blend of seasoned ground beef, minestrone soup, tomatoes, peppers, and chili beans. Florida’s cowboys, known as crackers, enjoyed this scrumptious soup on the trail and now you can have it without cracking a whip. Bowl $7.95  *Cup $5.95

  • Pick Two  Choose from a half sandwich, cup of soup, or a side salad. Half sandwich choices: ham, turkey, or curry chicken salad on a choice of white, wheat, or rye bread; a cup of the day's soup; or a tasty side salad. You deserve this healthy option after all those decisions.   $7.95

  • Seasonal Fruit Bowl    Tasty fresh fruit selected from honeydew, cantaloupe, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, bananas, and grapes. Low in fat, sodium, and calories   $5.95 
  • The Ponce  Our special grilled cheese sandwich made with a blend of goat cheese with jalapeño strawberry jam, applewood bacon, and grilled tomatoes, served on grilled wheat bread. Legend has it that Ponce de Leon serendipitously discovered Florida in search of this sandwich.   $6.95  
  • BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, & Tomato)   Crispy applewood bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and mayo on choice of toasted white, wheat, or rye bread. It’s the second most popular sandwich in America for a reason. It’s light and satisfying.   $7.95   Add a fried egg for $1.35

  • Datil Meatloaf   Slow roasted traditional meatloaf, coated in a Datil sauce made from locally grown peppers, and served with made-from-scratch roasted garlic smashed potatoes (gravy available upon request) with a side of chef's daily vegetables. This iconic dish has just enough kick to make it enticing.    $16.95
  • Chicken Piccata    “Piccata” refers to a dish where the food is sliced, sautéed, and served in a sauce containing lemon, butter and spices. We take a tender chicken breast, dredge it in flour, and pan sear it with capers in a white wine and lemon sauce to infuse the flavors in the chicken. We proudly serve it atop seasoned rice and the chef's daily vegetables.  $14.95
  • Catch of the Day    Fresh catch served blackened, grilled, or fried, with your choice of roasted garlic smashed potatoes OR seasoned rice with a side of chef's daily vegetables. We told our servers not to brag about our “catch of the day” fearing you would think it is just a fishing tale.    Market Price
  • Salmon   We take a generous portion of Atlantic Salmon, marinate it in a honey and Dijon mustard blend and rosemary, baked to perfection and serve it atop seasoned rice with a side of chef's daily vegetables. It’s a double winner: It’s good for you (high in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin D) and is amazingly delicious.   $18.95
  • Fish and Chips   Traditional style beer-battered haddock lightly fried to perfection served with a side of tartar sauce and malt vinegar.  We place it gently on a bed of French fries and add our special Jaybird coleslaw to complete the treat. We thank the British for this traditional meal.   $15.95 
  • Chicken or Seafood Alfredo   We char-grill a chicken breast, add penne pasta, and toss them in a house-made creamy Alfredo sauce topped with Parmesan and served with garlic bread. Our seafood Alfredo includes sauteed shrimp and fish-of-the-day. This classic dish was created by Alfredo di Lelia in 1914 in honor of his pregnant wife.   Chicken Alfredo  $14.95;  Seafood Alfredo   $16.95 
  • Vegetable Scampi   We left the shrimp in the fridge to create this special blend of house vegetables, including, but not limited to, squash, zucchini, red bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms and artichokes sauteed in succulent fresh garlic and butter tossed with penne pasta, topped with Parmesan and served with garlic bread.  $13.95
