Throughout Jaybird’s you’ll see the photography of Rainer Martens. Upon entry you’ll be greeted by photographs of beautiful landscapes, birds, and views from our scenic Florida. You’ll see amazing flower photos in the Deli and spectacular bird photos in the Dining Room. The Events Room displays landscapes from America’s National Parks and from other locations.

Rainer and his wife Julie are co-owners of Jaybird’s along with his brother Jay Martens and wife Margaret Martens. After a career as a professor at the University of Illinois and then a publisher of sports and physical activity books and journals (Human Kinetics), Rainer took up photography with a passion in his retirement. He and his wife Julie travel the world in search of beautiful landscapes and wildlife.
